About Geography Department

The Moran College a premier education institution existing at the transitional zone of Dibrugarh and Sivasagar district. The college was established in 1964 and department of geography is proud to be one of the pioneer disciplines of the college right from the inception. At that time there were two teachers Mr. P. Kalita and Late D. Chaurasia, who were the founder teachers of the department. The major course was introduced in 1987 and the first batch of students appeared Major examination in 1989.At present there are four teachers of whom 3 are Associate Professors and the rest one is Assistant Professor.
