The Department of Mathematics at Moran College was established in 1985 and has steadily developed over the years. The department currently has two classrooms and a digital classroom-cum-computer laboratory supported by the RUSA grant. It also maintains a departmental library with more than 250 mathematics books covering various courses.
The department offers a comprehensive programme ranging from introductory to advanced levels. Faculty members are highly qualified and dedicated to providing strong mathematical foundations and conceptual clarity. Teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, and interactive classroom activities to ensure deep understanding. Modern facilities, including computer labs and digital resources, support effective learning.
Students benefit from academic support services such as tutoring, counseling, and career guidance.
