About   The Department

The Department of Zoology at Moran College is committed to advancing the study of animal biology, behavior, and ecology through quality education and research. It offers diverse courses and research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them toward academic and professional success. Faculty members actively mentor students and support their intellectual growth.

The department fosters a deep understanding of zoological sciences through teaching, research, and outreach. It emphasizes innovative research in areas such as animal behavior, ecology, physiology, and conservation biology, contributing to scientific knowledge and conservation efforts.     The Department follows a strict zero-tolerance policy against ragging as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Any student experiencing or witnessing ragging (physical, verbal, psychological, or online) should immediately report the matter to:
