Department Profile

About   The Department

The Department of Education at Moran College, established in 1990 with only four students, began its journey in a single room with limited facilities. Over time, through the dedication of the faculty and administration, it has grown steadily. As a rural institution serving many economically disadvantaged students, the department remains committed to supporting learners both academically and personally. Since 2000, it has introduced innovative initiatives to uplift students, including the formation of the Education Forum and the publication of the annual magazine Shristi, edited each year by sixth-semester students as a meaningful contribution to the department.

Vision: To provide high-quality, inclusive, and accessible education that prepares students for a dynamic and changing world.

Mission: To promote academic excellence, critical thinking, innovation, and social responsibility while nurturing students’ overall development and community engagement.
